Korowa Archives was established to preserve the memory of our School and, during the lead up to our Centenary year in 1990, many records, photographs and items of memorabilia that had been meticulously preserved from the early days were brought together. Our ‘school memory’ not only includes the school records kept for business, legal and evidentiary purposes but also the magazines, photographs, oral histories, uniform items, student work and memorabilia that document our Korowa story and identity. The collection is based in The Betty Johnson Room named in honour of Miss Betty Johnson, a meticulous record-keeper who made an outstanding contribution to Korowa from 1935 as a teacher, School Registrar and volunteer covering a period of more than 60 years, ensuring our records were kept for future generations.
